This module seeks firstly to describe the major existential threats and challenges to society as well as the main forms of governance and funding at work around the world in planning, delivering and regulating public services.
Secondly we look at the case of the UK which has a universal system of healthcare delivery with other services provided by local government, charities and private providers. The structures have evolved differently in Wales, Scotland Northern Ireland and England.
We look at different kinds of board structures at the delivery level including the non board delivery of services.
